SIWA EMBROIDERY CLASS

DURATION: 2-3 hours

You will be welcomed into a Siwan home by local women who have mastered the art of embroidery. Your instructor will introduce you to a range of techniques and all necessary materials are provided. You will learn key stitches, guiding you step by step as you create your own embroidery creation. The workshop explores various traditional embroidery styles and their significance in Siwan life. Learn about the history and everyday uses of embroidery while enjoying tea and home-made sweets in a warm and authentic setting. 

Available with English, Spanish and Dutch translation.

This experience can be booked as a single session or as part of a series for those wishing to deepen their skills. You can design and create personalized items such as pillow covers, towels, or scarves—and take your finished creations home.
